Itasca Action Pistol is a fun, relaxed evening of scenario-based shooting, with an interesting set of stationary targets, moving targets, reactive targets, a small building with a door that can be kicked open, and an old car to shoot from.  Each person shoots at one scenario, then we pause to score and reset targets, then the next person shoots.

We keep score, but you're really competing with yourself, working to improve skills and speed.  For more information, see the Action Pistol page.

If you can help set up targets, that begins at 3:00.  Sign in begins at 5:00.  Please arrive with time to sign in, pay and prep yourself so there's no delay in the Safety Briefing, which begins promptly at 5:30.  We shoot from 6:00 to 9:00.  Consider staying later to help put away the targets.

Plan on bringing a centerfire pistol, a spare magazine and 100 rounds of ammunition - you won't shoot them all, but you don't want to run out.  In 2014 the most shots per person in an evening was 88.

The cost is $5.00 per night.  It's a lot of shooting fun for a small amount of money.

For safety, the outdoor pistol range at the old gun club site is closed to all shooting EXCEPT Itasca Action Pistol shooting.  The range opens for live fire at 6:00, and then closes at 9:00.
